Welcome to October - or as we in the Rom Com world call it - the first day of the Christmas season! To those of you who say we shouldn't celebrate Christmas until after Thanksgiving - I hear ya! I agreed with you until recently. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized - why not??? Why not celebrate and cherish Christmas as much as we possibly can? It's one of the few remaining things we most agree on and enjoy together! So we celebrate tricks and treats, pumpkins and apples, and all the Fall feels while preparing for the Most Wonderful Time of the Year! These are 16 TV happenings taking place in October and November that we are MOST Excited for right now (and with the amazing list of movies coming, this was a hard choice!) Our list begins with Jen Lilley and ends with Candace Cameron Bure - how can you go wrong with that!

The Vows We Have Made

As Shane (Booth) and Oliver (Mabius) prepare for their wedding, they must pause to help a young boy fighting leukemia reunite with his long-lost friend. Meanwhile, Rita (Lowe) and Norman (Gustafson) navigate the challenges of trying to start a family, but a new employee in the Dead Letter Office may deliver the answer.

You, Me, and the Christmas Trees

McKellar and Hervey Reunite On-Screen for the First Time since “The Wonder Years”

Danica McKellar (“The Wonder Years”, “Domino Masters”), Benjamin Ayres (“Suits”), and Jason Hervey (“The Wonder Years”) star in “You, Me and the Christmas Trees,” a new, original movie premiering Friday, October 22 (8 p.m. ET/PT), on Hallmark Channel. Olivia (McKellar) is Connecticut’s resident expert on evergreens. Days before Christmas she gets a plea for help from Jack (Ayres), a Christmas tree farmer in need of her skills to figure out what mystery illness is causing their trees to die out and ruining their business, which has been his family’s legacy for 100 years. After calling off her Christmas wedding six months earlier, Olivia isn’t eager to head home for the holidays so she agrees to make a detour and stop at Jack’s farm in Avon to examine the trees.Unable to immediately discover the cause, Olivia is determined to get to the root of the problem and extends her stay to run advanced tests. With time to kill while she waits for test results for the trees, Olivia joins Jack and his friends at the holiday festivities around town and finds their traditions a welcome change to the reserved holidays she grew up with. As they spend more time together, they begin to fall for each other and Jack helps Olivia reconnect to Christmas, her parents and herself. In the end, her tenacity pays off and Olivia not only devises a way to preserve Jack’s trees but she discovers the shocking truth about why his firs were fizzling –much to the dismay of Dwayne (Hervey), a rival local tree farmer.

An Autumn Romance

Starring Jessica Lowndes & Chad Michael Murray

In “An Autumn Romance,” when Seattle-based librarian Taylor Harris (Lowndes) suddenly loses her job, she travels to Montana to visit her brother Craig (Andres) and his wife Christine (Ogunsuyi) and quickly finds herself immersed in her brother’s effort to save the Graff Hotel, which has been purchased by tech tycoon Joel Sheenan (Murray) and his associate, Ray Dixon (Brown). The town of Forest Ridge, Montana is split on Joel’s decision to turn the once quaint hotel into an upscale property for tourists. To protect the hotel’s charm and her brother’s place of employment, Taylor goes on a search to find a significant historical event that will qualify the hotel for landmark status and prevent the City Council from issuing permits for its renovation. With the clock ticking, Taylor seizes on a photograph that has the potential to verify the property’s historical value while also providing an invaluable piece of personal history to the hotel’s new owner.

Cameron and Debbie Together Again - Welcome to Great American Christmas

BIG news for "Home & Family" fans!! GAC Family announced its new Holiday Franchise, “GREAT AMERICAN CHRISTMAS” and an All-New Christmas Special hosted by Debbie Matenopoulos & Cameron Mathison, formerly the hosts of the popular daytime talk show "Home & Family" that ended earlier this year. “Welcome to Great American Christmas,” a new special with hosts Debbie Matenopoulos (“The View,” “Home & Family”) and Cameron Mathison (“Home & Family,” “General Hospital”) will premiere Sunday, October 24 at 8pm ET/PT. The special will give viewers exclusive previews of upcoming GAC Family “Great American Christmas” movies and will feature celebrity guests stopping by for a holiday “hello” and to share a special Christmas craft or recipe.

The Great Christmas Switch

In “The Great Christmas Switch”, Kaelynn and Sophia are identical twins who have grown up believing the other has the more glamorous life. Kaelynn sometimes feels unappreciated in her non-stop world of kids and to do’s. Sophia is laid back to the point of paralysis and cannot seem to assemble the basics of life, including a healthy work/life balance and evolved relationships. When Sophia tells her twin she’s had to cancel her Christmas vacation to stay in San Diego to work, Kaelynn jumps at the chance to flee the frost of Ohio to take her sister’s place. With her sister’s kids with their dad for Christmas, Sophia believes her only job will be to watch holiday movies by the fire. Kaelynn feels confident her demanding day-to-day has prepared her for Sophia’s grinchy boss and flaky friends. Then, reality sets in! With the familiar turned upside down, it will take a Christmas miracle to make it all right again.

Christmas Time is Here

In “Christmas Time Is Here,” Nia Moore (Bernard), a successful small-town realtor, has her heart set on closing a big sale on a new resort for her client, Julian Parsons (Williams), just in time for Christmas. There is only one hitch. No matter how many properties in Pine Valley Nia shows Julian, he keeps coming back to the one resort that isn’t for sale…the one belonging to Nia’s widower dad, Patrick (Pickett). Patrick would like to sell the property and retire. It’s Nia who cannot let go of memories of an idyllic time in life when her mom was still alive and very much a part of the resort. Julian realizes Nia’s reluctance to sell the property, but it may not matter. Julian’s impatient boss has come to Pine Valley intent on getting the deal done before Christmas. At risk of losing his job, Julian comes up with a magical plan for saving Nia’s family’s resort.

In the process, their sisterly bond is rekindled and each learns an important lesson about what they want in life and in love

While reminiscing with family, Jamie realizes the town desperately needs someone with Matt’s genius for thinking of the small gestures that bring genuine happiness to the holidays. While watching her favorite news program, “Wake Up Upstate,” or more importantly, the show’s handsome TV anchor, Scott (Mathison), Jamie learns about a neighboring high school’s fundraising goal and spontaneously gifts the entire amount – anonymously. Jamie’s anonymous gift sparks another and another until the entire town gets into the spirit. News of the generous gift giving draws Jamie’s TV crush to Cooperville seeking to do some serious reporting on the identity of the secret Santa. What isn’t a secret is that Jamie and Scott will discover each other just in time for Christmas. The Nine Kittens of Christmas

We don't have too much information yet - but this sequel to 2014's The Nine Lives of Christmas, Directed by David Winning, will most likely become an instant favorite! The original movie is now a classic and makes the Top 10 List for Rom Com Road of all-time favorite Christmas movies! Here's what we do know: Cat lovers Zachary and Marilee are thrown back together at Christmas when they're tasked with finding homes for a litter of adorable kittens.



 

November 26

Reba McEntire’s Christmas in Tune

Starring and produced by Reba McEntire, also starring John Schneider

Years after their personal and professional breakup, the singing duo of Georgia (Reba McEntire) and Joe Winter (John Schneider) agree to reunite after their daughter, Belle (Candice King), asks them to participate in a Christmas Charity concert, only to find themselves getting back in tune on stage and off.

Reba McEntire’s "Christmas in Tune" is produced by Hartbreak Films with Paula Hart, Reba McEntire and Melissa Joan Hart serving as executive producers. Emily Moss Wilson directs from a script by Juliet Giglio and Keith Giglio.

Royally Wrapped for Christmas

In “Royally Wrapped for Christmas”, Lindsay Peterson (Lilley) of Brooklyn, NY, heads up one of the most successful chapters of the Festive Heart Foundation, a philanthropic organization dedicated to underserved children and founded by the Royal Family of Veronia. The foundation will commemorate its centennial this holiday and Lindsay is summoned to the kingdom to plan the celebratory gala. Before she embarks to Veronia, Lindsay meets the charity’s President, Willard, and a pleasant man, Aiden (Fehr), who Lindsay mistakenly believes is the organization’s accountant. Willard persuades Lindsay to join him and two other organizers from the global charity in Veronia. It is there Lindsay discovers the “accountant” is really Crown Prince Aiden who is to ascend the throne after his mother, Queen Rayna. Committed to the mission of the charity, Lindsay proposes a new idea based on a tradition she learned from her grandmother: each Christmas, two gifts must be given. One to keep, one to give. Veronia’s Parliament enthusiastically accepts Lindsay’s proposal for the charity, vowing to change the world in the kindest way. Now Prince Aiden must decide if the commoner from New York who has helped so many may have just stolen his heart.

Christmas is You

In “Christmas Is You”, Emma Bloom is given an ultimatum by her boss Rachel at Old Town Records: go home for the holidays and convince former boyfriend and national recording star, Tyler Thorn, to sign with Rachel’s label or find another job. Emma is an organized assistant, but her job is a dead end in need of a turnaround and her real dream is to be a singer. Tyler is going home for Christmas for the first time in years after abruptly quitting his label. First, Emma and Tyler have a friendship to repair. Emma broke Tyler’s heart on Christmas Eve several years ago when she turned down his marriage proposal. When Emma and Tyler arrive in their hometown, they are immediately immersed in an all-hands-on-deck effort to save the annual Christmas Carol Celebration, where they first sang together as kids in the choir. Turns out, a trip down Memory Lane may hit all the right notes for Emma and Tyler.
