Is "Home and Family" Next?

GAC Family, the new network launched on September 27th by marketing genius Bill Abbott , has been adding to it's growing line-up of Christmas movies, series, and specials that will start premiering late October. The network is focused on the tagline "Stories Well Told" and creating a new home for fans of Rom Com. So far mega-rom-com-stars Jen Lilley, Jill Wagner, Chad Michael Murray, and Cameron Mathison have already joined the growing number of stars working with the network. Below is a list of all the upcoming movies so-far released to the public with the leading actors named. It's an impressive list with some fun story lines.

GAC Family has also announced it will be airing the second season of When Hope Calls, a spin-off series of When Calls the Heart that originally aired on Hallmark Movies Now and then Hallmark Channel. Both Lori Loughlin and Daniel Lissing are returning for the two-part Christmas special which will launch the series. The network is keeping details close to the vest and not releasing what character Daniel Lissing will play until October 11. Fans of the two shows have had mixed reactions, with some believing Daniel will return as Jack and others insisting a new character will be created. The network did release a synopsis of the two-part premiere which mentions Lori's Loughlin's character, Abigail, speaking with an old friend. Seems to be hinting at a dream sequence with Daniel Lissing's Mountie Jack Thornton.

Hints and a slow leak of information seems to be the method of choice, with Jill Wagner offering hints about her upcoming GAC Family Christmas movie all this past week. Jill had fans guess who her costar will be for the December 11 movie, "A Christmas Miracle for Daisy". Turns out it is fan-fav Nick Bateman. Now hints are being released by Debbie Matenopoulos, the former co-host of "Home and Family" that this is "just the beginning" and a "2.0 start". Debbie starred on the morning show with Cameron Mathison on Hallmark Channel, with the show being cancelled this past summer. Cameron and Debbie are launching GAC Family's Great American Christmas with a special on October 24, promising drop-ins by stars and a great night of Christmas segments. Is GAC Family planning on bringing back Cameron and Debbie for another talk show? That seems to be the next round of hints as evidenced by both Cameron and Debbie's Instagram posts. Fans of the original talk show were both shocked and saddened when "Home and Family" was cancelled. If GAC Family is indeed bringing this fun show back, fans will be overjoyed!

So what will be the next hint released? We have some ideas, but aren't yet at liberty to say! We will let you know that it's pretty exciting stuff! What we do not know is if the mystery series originally at Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will begin to make their way to GAC Family. There was an abrupt end to all mystery movies at the end of the summer with a release instead of four drama movies on the channel. With the new direction at Hallmark, one has to wonder if the Movies & Mysteries channel will merge with the Drama channel and begin to phase out the multi-movie mysteries. Fans of Signed, Sealed, Delivered and Mystery 101 are hopeful that GAC Family will continue their acquisition of former Hallmark series and acquire the two movie-series if Hallmark decides to discontinue them. Time will tell! In the meantime, we have lots of fun and exciting programming in which to look forward!
