Christmas Movie Reviews/Previews Week of November 16 with Georgia the Christmas Pup.

When Georgia met Tyler Hynes it was puppy love at first sight. He knelt down beside her and they exchanged kisses and cordial sniffs. Of all the male rom com stars Georgia has met, Tyler was by far the most loving and attentive to my little girl. He exudes warmth and a gentleness, and he is every bit as sweet in person as the characters he plays in movies. This Saturday marks a very special movie premiere for all rom com fans. Tyler, his real-life cousin Andrew Walker, and Paul Campbell are starring together in “Three Wise Men and a Baby” on Hallmark Channel. It’s a script written by Paul and Kimberley Sustad and has fans completely buzzing. My guess is it will be loosely based on the 1980s hit “Three Men and a Baby” which starred Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg, Ted Danson, and Nancy Travis. Whatever the plot, having these three stars in the same movie promises a fun time. Paul and Kimberley have great on-screen chemistry and have starred together in three movies. Their writing chemistry is probably just as good. Three fan favorites, written by a rom com couple, a baby, and Christmas…the only thing that could make this movie more adorable would be a basket full of puppies!

I waited for this week’s column to review Andrew’s other Christmas movie that debuted on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries two weekends ago. “A Maple Valley Christmas” was a very enjoyable film. It had a very believable, well-acted script that had the protagonist female lead making mistakes and learning from them. The main couple had great chemistry, and the supporting characters weren’t typical. It’s one of my favorites so far this year. I also very much enjoyed several of the movies that premiered this past weekend. “In Merry Measure,” The Royal Nanny,” and “Our Italian Christmas Memories” were all worth watching and keeping on the DVR for later in the year when I need a dose of Christmas romance. My favorite of the weekend was “Reindeer Games: Homecoming” on Lifetime.

What will we be watching this weekend as we bake pies and make cranberry sauce in anticipation of Thanksgiving? There’s plenty to choose from as far as Christmas movies are concerned. From Thursday through Sunday an additional 12 movies will air on the two Hallmark channels, Great American Family, UPtv, and Lifetime. HBO Max and Apple TV are joining in on the fun with offerings of their own. “A Christmas Story Christmas” releases November 17 on HBO Max starring Peter Billingsley as Ralphie Parker in this sequel to the original often-quoted hit. On November 18, Apple TV releases “Spirited” starring Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds. Both movies promise to be enjoyable for us Christmas movie aficionados. You can see the full list here.

This weekend’s list of Must Watch movies are all about the two stars who have been

partnered as a couple. If, like me, you’re a fan of Netflix’s “Sweet Magnolias,” you’ll most likely enjoy “A Country Christmas Harmony” on Lifetime Friday night. The movie stars Brooke Elliot and Brandon Quinn, the popular Magnolia couple, and gives Brooke a stage to share her amazing vocals. On Saturday night, “Long Lost Christmas” on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries stars Taylor Cole and Benjamin Ayres. This is a new couple pairing, but both actors do incredibly well no matter who they are partnered with, so I’m anticipating a great movie. A rom com Christmas movie favorite, the ever-handsome Niall Matter, stars opposite Shenae Grimes-Beech Sunday night on Hallmark Channel in “When I Think of Christmas.” Shenae has starred in several movies for Hallmark, including “Date with Love” opposite Andrew Walker and “Christmas Incorporated” opposite Steve Lund. Her characters are always fun and unique, and she pairs well with any co-star. I’m looking forward to seeing her star opposite Niall who also creates chemistry on screen no matter who he’s partnered with.

Happy movie watching from me and the pup!
