Signed, Sealed, Delivered - Take 1

The picture to the right hangs in my home office next to my signed Donny Osmond and Oprah magazine covers and my Danica McKellar and Jen Lilley Christmas covers of the magazine for which I work. I obviously did not write Signed, Sealed, Delivered - it is from the brilliant mind of Martha Williamson - but I keep it among my favorite inspirational work images for moments when I need to look up and find guidance or a fresh idea. To me, this picture, in particular, tells the story of Signed, Sealed, Delivered (SSD). The two couples, Oliver and Shane on the right and Norman and Rita on the left , hiding from view but watching over the people they have helped. More than any other series I have watched, the depth of the characters (brilliantly acted by Eric Mabius, Kristin Booth, Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe, and Geoff Gustafson) offers wonderful teaching moments about life, relationships, and how we give and receive to one another...even when the message seems to be lost. I've watched every movie and episode of the series at least a few times, yet each viewing I find something else to ponder, or notice something I maybe wasn't ready to identify with during a prior viewing. So in honor of the NEW SSD movie that will be airing on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel on Sunday, October 17 - I am starting a rewatch party! You're invited!
